This week, our General Manager, José Queipo, participated in a roundtable discussion organised by PACKNET entitled “The Future of Packaging in the Deli Sector: Adaptation, Innovation and Regulatory Compliance within the European Framework”, alongside Belén García (CEO of the Spanish Packaging Technology Platform), Bárbara Lopes (global R&D manager at the Lantero Group) and María Segura (head of environment, safety and quality at ANGED, the National Association of Large-Scale Retailers in Spain).
During the session, which addressed issues of interest to the sector, such as adaptation to the European regulatory framework and its implementation deadlines, strategies for applying it without compromising food safety or product shelf life, the latest developments in technological innovation for packaging materials, and finally, future prospects through collaboration between manufacturers and distributors to promote more circular value chains, digitisation and automation played a key role.
